Obituary for John Vitsas Sr.
ohn Vitsas Sr. of Columbus passed away into God’s loving and eternal care Friday, July 6, at Samaritan Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mount Holly. He was 80. Born in Greece, he immigrated to America. John proudly owned the Holly House Restaurant in Mount Holly for many years, and was a chef for Marriott Hotels later in life. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Anoinette (Barone) Vitsas. John is survived by his wife, Misako (Moriya) Vitsas; and his two sons, Louis (Mary Kate), and John Jr. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, David and Corrina.A Memorial Service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 14, at the Dennison Funeral Home, 214 W. Front St., Florence, where relatives and friends will be received by the family from 10 until time of service. Private interment will be in Lakeview Memorial Park Cinnaminson. In lieu of flowers, donations in John’s name may be sent to Center for Family Support, 71 Zabriskie St., Hackensack NJ 07601. To offer condolences to the family please visit the website below.
